Let's go home!!

Woohoo! What an exciting day! We were finally going home to home. Derek and I could not wait to get Webb home and start figuring out the whole "parent" thing :) We were welcomed home by blue balloons and a blue bow on the mailbox. Even though the first few days were a little wild, we enjoyed every minute of it! We had lots of visitors (Maybe I should say Webb had lots of visitors haha). I would post picture of everyone that came to visit, but that would take forever.
Derek was ready to get out of this place! He was loading the car up while I finished up paperwork.
Me and my sweet baby boy before we put him in his carseat.
Webb was ready to ride!!

Webb is here!

I am going to try my best to get this blog going. I am going to start with the day Webb was born!
Our day started around 3:30 am on July 19, 2010. I barely slept at all the night before. I was too excited for sleep! (now I wish I would have taken advantage of the last night of "rest" I will see for a LONG time!) We got up and took showers, loaded the truck and took off to Tupelo.

I had to check into the hospital at 6:00 am but it wasn't until 9:00 or so that Dr. Kellum broke my water. When he did that, I knew I was about to have this baby..........Needless to say, Webb had different plans. He liked where he was and was content on staying in his warm, cozy house :) Hours passed by and I was slowly progressing. Derek was a nervous wreck! He did good not to show me how nervous he was, but I could still tell. Around 4 or 5 pm I was at 6cm. At 6pm I was at 6cm. Same for 7 pm and 8pm. Dr. Kellum told me it looked like we were going to have to have a section.....Can you say meltdown???? He looked a little puzzled and told me he could give me another hour if I wanted. I definately wanted that extra hour! I was having this baby without a section, so I thought!!
To make a long story short, I was in labor for 13 hours and ended up having a section. Webb Russell DeVaughn was born at 10:05 pm. He weighed 6lbs 15oz and was 18 inches long. He was and still is perfect in everyway! God is letting us take care of his sweetest angel! So many of our friends and family were able to share this special day (well....and night :)) with us. If you everyone could have a taste of the ourpouring of love and kindness our family and friends have shown us, this world would be a much happier place! I am about to put you on picture over load so brace yourself. I hope you enjoy!
